Mita Bordoloi was born in the foothills of the eastern Himalayan mountains in Assam, India. She spent her early years at the periphery of Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of mighty Brahmaputra River, with additional stints in Hong Kong, India, and the US. She lives in Glen Carbon, Illinois with her husband. She has three daughters and the memories of a mischievous cat named Mr. Beans.
As her writings stem from her unique experiences in diverse regions of the world, Mita Bordoloi engages the young readers in the classrooms with refreshing multicultural presentations.
